POST UPDATE: The Multiverse Project is back online!

Check it out, and don’t forget to tell me what you think! =D

WAS UP HOMIEZ?!! i iz har today *screen fizzles and rotates*

Woah…what just happened? OH NO! IT WAS MY ARCH NEMESIS, ANTI-MOTION! He must have escaped from his alternate dimension and tried to hijack my post! Well, he’s gone now, so on to THE POST! CUE DRAMA MUSIC! *silence* I SAID, CUE DRAMA MUSIC! *silence* Don’t make me come down – *music plays loudly* That’s what I thought. As I was saying, on to THE PO – *music plays* HEY! I didn’t say to cue – *more music plays* NOT funny guys.

Please excuse my special effects team, they must think it’s April Fools Day. One sec while I go knock some sense into them.

*goes off stage, screaming and load noises are heard, comes back*

Now that that’s been sorted out, we can finally move on! On to THE POST!

There’s two new Ads in Pop! (Credit to Happy Storm and Xarr of the PHF!)

  • The Electric Company Ad, about a new TV show coming to PBS Kids. (NO, I DON’T WATCH PBS!!)
  • The Monster INC. Ad, about the old movie coming to DVD and BlueRay (HI-DEF).

In The Electric Company Ad, there’s no mission or “problem” to solve, but simply a synopsis of the show, a trailer, and two actors from the show. The only thing to get out of this Ad is the costumes from the actors.

The other Ad, about the new version of Monster INC. DVD, actually does have a goal. You have to find the kid (or shall I say PopKid?) that’s escaped into the Monster Realm. Using the key cards you find (which allow you to access different rooms in the ad) you have to search for the girl. The reward is…”lack luster”. What you receive is a card that takes you to a “theater room” where you can watch the trailer for Monster INC.

Here’s some screenshots for both ads:

Read Issue #6, if you dare…

We have also changed our ‘Poptropica Poll’ widget, which you can find on the right side. The current question reads, ”Did you pay any real money for Poptropica merchandise?”

October 2009’s question was, ”Is your Poptropican all dressed up for Halloween?” The results came in as:

Option | Votes | Percentage
Yes, and my costume is so scary, you’d probably faint just at the sight of it! | 1,049 | 46%
I haven’t yet, but I’m preparing for a spooky surprise! | 846 | 37%
No, I don’t celebrate Halloween. | 226 | 10%
Halloween?! What’s the point of that? | 143 | 6%

Hope you’ll enjoy reading our 911 this month, and maybe even be inspired to submit your own entries! Congratulations to everyone who entered something for the 911, whether it made it or not.

 Happy Halloween!

For all you hardcore electronic gadget users out there, you’ll be pleased to know that Poptropica has teamed up with SkinIt.com! (Thanks for the news update, Pufflemon.)

Skinit sells decorative skins for all kinds of devices, like laptops, cell phones, music players, and lots more. Did I mention calculators, too? :P

At $14.95 US dollars each, they may seem a little expensive, but it may be well worth it to show off your love for Poptropica! On the left image below is a laptop with its cover decorated with the awesome Shark Tooth Island scene, and over on the right side is a display of an iPod with Ned Noodlehead’s Super Power Island comic shop!

And here’s a young Aztec warrior on the Time Tangled Island skin:

I’m posting from my “Coderkid” account instead.

(Motionman95 has changed his WordPress account to ”Coderkid”. They’re the same person.) :D

First of all, hello again Poptropicans! (Man, I really new to come up with better introductions for my posts… :/)

Anyway, there are 2 new developments in Poptropica:

  • New “Ice Age 3″ Ads on the side of Poptropica
  • New Store items “Silly String”, “Followers: Spook Pack”, Werewolves, Creepy Countess, and Swamp Monster costumes!

Silly String, is basically a canister (like on the fire fighter costume) that sprays..well, silly string, duh! :) It’s very useful for PWNing people in Multiverse rooms!

The “Followers: Spook Pack” is basically a different version of the original, including pets such as a ghost, pumpkin, skull, and bat. I think it’ll probably be a “limited time” item. Meanwhile, the other Follower item has been renamed to ”Followers: Classic Pack.”

The new costumes, Swamp Monster and Werewolf Boy, are both scary. Swamp Monster is basically a fishy looking dude, whereas Werewolf Boy is doggy dude, with killer teeth. “Good boy” – I think not. Only girls get access to the Werewolf Girl and Creepy Countess costumes.

I have the Silly String, and I must say it compliments my outfit! :P
Take a look, and tell me what you think: Clickey! I’m not sure myself, but I think I was aiming for a “tagger” type theme.

Here’s a picture from the Poptropica Creators’ Blog showing off the ‘frightening’ new items! Let us let the fun begin at the Ghoul’s Gala at the Haunted House! Throw the colorful streamers at the evil monsters and get your little floating skull friend to follow ya. :P

And in other developments, The Multiverse Project has been released! With this awesome online tool, you’ll be able to submit your Multiverse room codes or view a list of currently open ones. Find your favorite hangout spot and rock out with friends!

Can you believe it? After all this time…it’s finally here. Be the first to try it out.

Enter The Multiverse Project.

I’d love your feedback on it! Don’t forget to look at the post below and read about the Ice Age Ad quest!

Hello Poptropicans! Following some sad developments of this week (the resignation of Golden Eagle), it’s once again time to announce yet another Poptropica update. Recently, a new ad has appeared on Main Street of Early Poptropica, “Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs”. I myself saw the movie, and I thought it was pretty funny, at least at some parts. But moving on. I made a quick video to show you the ad – you can find it below. In this ad, your goal is to collect all the acorns for Scratte, Scrat’s female companion.

Before entering the ad, you’ll notice that the woman outside has horrible grammar. I’m sure most of you will easily spot it. ;)

Please excuse the laggyness of the video!

I’d also like to mention that the PHF now has a blog (no worries, it’s not a Poptropica one) that I plan to use to post about updates to the various projects I’m working on. =D

You can find it here: http://blog.thephf.com/

Feel free to drop a comment anytime. :)

Hey guys. It’s GE.

I’d just like to let you know that I’m resigning from the PHB, PHF, and PTB (Poptropical Thunder’s Blog), and Poptropica altogether. I’ve lost interest in it all, and its just become a distraction. I’m also joining track, which I’m really looking forward to. I’ve lost touch with my real life friends over the summer, too.

I’ve already made up my mind, guys. I’m sorry, but nothing will change that.

I’d like to thank all of you for making it a great time while I was here. But I have some special thanks to give out.

First, I’d like to thank Hijuyo, for letting me join this great blog.

I’d like to thank Poptropical Thunder, who was a great friend, and let me join her blog, the first one I ever worked on.

I’d also like to thank Silent Witness/ The Boot, who’s stories thoroughly entertained me, and always was there for me to talk to, even when I bet I was annoying.

I’d also like to give a big thanks to Cool Wing, who was the first great friend I made on here, and we always had a good time being silly and hyper.

Last but not least, I’d like to thank Neat Whale, who forgave me when I was the jerkiest of jerkwads, and the worst of friends. Thanks again, NW.

I might comment once in a while; I might check by and see how its going.

I’m staying on for the rest of the day and then I’m gone.

GE out.

This is it.  Hopefully, the moment you’ve all been waiting for is here!  Judges Deathstalker/Seph (the MYSTERY judge) and I carefully went through all 114 entries — yes, you read that right; 114 entries :P — and narrowed down the costumes until we had come to an agreement on 4 runner-ups and 1 overall winner.  Of course, it’s very hard to select only 5 costumes when there are so many entries for pick.  Especially since we were inundated with contending costumes! I’d like to start off with a round of applause for all of the costumes. *applause* This is sort of a cliché, but you all deserve a pat on the back for a job well done! Everybody pat their back. I SAID TO PAT YOUR BACK! Good. Now, for the runner-ups… (more…)

Motionman95 has made a new App!! The Poptropica Help Team introduces to you- Barney The Dinosaur PoptroporteX!!! (Or the PPX for short.)

The PoptroPorteX may not work. We apologize for any inconvenience caused if it doesn’t, but it’s always worth a shot!

Clicky! >>>http://thephf.com/poptroportex<<< Yay!

AWESOME!!!

AWESOME!!!

This amazing creation takes you to old and new ads on Poptropica. All you need to do is:

  1. Log in to Poptropica.
  2. Select the advertisement building you want to go to from the dropdown list and click on it.
  3. You will be teleported to that ad place. You’ll also see a funny joke while you’re waiting.

If you want to Costumize a costume from any of the ads, follow these steps:

  1. Open Poptropica, and log in.
  2. Open PoptroporteX, and go to the desired ad.
  3. Costumize any costume.
  4. Save your game in POPTROPICA, then log out.
  5. When you log in again, your character will be as you Costumized it.

Also (prepare yourself for a big long list!) here are all the advertisements you can visit using the PPX:

Ok, wow let’s talk about the Astro Boy ad. Here’s a pic of it (We’ll talk about the hairdo later!):

That poptropican is ME!!

That poptropican is ME!!

It’s new, in case you haven’t heard of it. There isn’t really a quest. The quiz game is so easy, you can figure it out just by guessing. Or, just forget THAT, and go up using those cool flying hovercrafts and you admire the costumes.  I just costumized Astro Boy’s hair. And, did you know that Astro Boy releases on my BIRTHDAY!!?? Well, that’s pretty much it. :P Brilliant.. NO QUEST, FREE COSTUMES FOR ALL!! We thank TOMZILLA, a PHF user, for the update.

And on other news, my birthday is coming up (October 23rd), and I got an early birthday present- An iPod Touch!!! GO ME!! :P

TTFN,

Gazek.

In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new ad in Poptropica! It advertises the new movie from Disney, TinkerBell and The Lost Treasure (if you’re too young or too old to see it, skip to the end of this post) Here’s how it looks:

screenie1

Going down to the bottom floor, you’ll see TinkerBell. She’ll tell you that recently 3 moonstone pieces (whatever those are) have been lost. She also says that if you help to find all 3 lost moonstones, she’ll give you a reward of some sort, which in this case is a TinkerBell suit, and a Pixie Dust animation.

screenie2

Now walk over to your right, and you’ll see a door/hole, through which you can enter the Forest. Doing so, you’ll find you self in front of a huge tree trunk. o_o

screenie3

You’ll find the moonstone peices in 3 places:

  1. To your left, where you’ll have to wait until the killer-mouths are open, jumping on them to reach the bubble-like moonstone piece. Don’t let the mouths close, or you’ll be knocked off.
  2. To your right, where you will have to avoid the larger spikes on the monstrous prickle patch to reach the moonstone piece.
  3. Above you, where you’ll have to jump on the..the…wait what are those things?! I’ll just call them tree-mushrooms or whatever. Anyway, jump from each on to reach the one above you, until you come to a long branch on your right. Avoid the spiders and reach the moonstone.

Yaay! We recovered all the missing pieces (and avoided those pesky spiders! =D)

screenie4

Now, head back to the forest floor and enter back through the doorway in the tree trunk. Talk to TinkerBell again, she’ll thank you for returning the pieces and gives you your rewards:

tinkerbellitemsAn outfit and Pixie Dust! I am DEFINITELY not wearing that. And so concludes the first half of this post….

….and begins the second half. Due to a hack I found (and perfected with Zonexus’s help, thanks! =D), there are now Multiverse Codes which have been specially made to redirect you to certain places in Poptropica. In this case, previously released Poptropica ads. Here’s a list of all that we currently have made:

  • CGR67 – TinkerBell Ad
  • CKH41 – Froot Loops Ad
  • CTU81 – Lego Racer Ad

Anyone can access them, with out limitations like age, etc. Hijuyo’s hoping to compile a list of these codes and eventually post them on the “Cheats” page.

Notice:
If you have any of the fullscreen codes for the ads (such as http://poptropica.com/base.swf?desc=BLA&island=BLA), please comment with the url.

MOTION OUT SOLDIER! (don’t ask)
